Ron Meyers
CEO of Denovo Formations

Mr. Meyers was in the new bank community and commercial banking industry for over 25 years.  During that time he provided critical development services to over eighty (80) start-up banks.  Those services included branch construction, secure data systems integration, executive bank management searches, bank vendor selection services, and capital raising services.  Mr. Meyers had assisted Banks in finding key management personnel since 1990.  Mr. Meyers’ company Banker Technologies also has active contracts to provide secure data network integration and technology maintenance services to the leading portion of the community and commercial banks founded in Southern California over the past 20 years.  Mr. Meyers is very well known and respected in the banking industry by both bankers and banking vendors.

Garfield Logan
Principal of Logan Law, LLC

A graduate of the University of Southern California and Loyola Law School (Los Angeles), Mr. Logan is a highly successful attorney, real estate and banking investor, and businessman. As a principal in the investment banking firm of Hagerty, Van Mourick and Logan, Mr. Logan managed or participated in numerous successful private and public stock offerings and has extensive experience in the management of capital offerings. He is responsible for the fastest capital raising campaign for a start-up bank in the State of California – over $35 million in 30 days. As an attorney since 1979, he specializes in estate, tax and business planning and investment banking. Mr. Logan also has extensive experience in formation and specialized utilization of various types of trusts and business entities, having formed the state’s first domestic Limited Liability Company.

Sal Pepe, M.D.
Chief Operating Officer

As Principal and CEO of several multi-million dollar corporations, Dr. Pepe brings a depth of knowledge and synergy to Denovo Formations as Chief Operating Officer.  Having been an essential original organizer in start-up banking, he understands the importance of solid business fundamentals.  Medical corporations and banking have been Dr. Pepe's areas of expertise, with hands on administration of contract negotiations, budgetary planning, pensions, payrolls, and compliance management with both State and Federal regulatory agencies.

Jared Colcord

Executive Vice President/Capital Markets Advisor

Mr. Colcord assumed the role as an Executive Vice President, Capital Markets Advisor with Denovo Formations in 2006.  Previously, Mr. Colcord served as a Senior Vice President of the Bank Development Group for a Dallas, TX based investment banking firm. Mr. Colcord oversaw a large portion of the company’s new business prospecting nationwide and acted as the lead consultant on several successful community bank stock offerings.  Formerly, Mr. Colcord served as Vice President of Business Development for a financial consulting firm specializing in new bank capital raises based in Atlanta, GA.  During his tenure at both institutions Mr. Colcord was instrumental in the capital raising efforts of numerous initial and secondary community bank stock offerings, accounting for over $200 million in initial and secondary bank capital.  Also, Mr. Colcord played an integral role in consulting with the IT departments at both companies to develop revolutionary new capital-raising software that continues to be used throughout the industry today.  Mr. Colcord received a BBA from the University of Georgia's Grady School of Journalism, and has spent time studying international business overseas at England's Oxford University. 

Jonathan Little
Director of Bank Formation

Mr. Little brings a unique combination of technical legal skill and broad-based business development experience to the team at Denovo Formations. Having provided legal representation to numerous corporations in such areas as incorporation, tax-exemption, financial stability and regulatory compliance, Mr. Little has proven success in working with Organizers and Boards, perceiving their questions and needs, and making fully-informed recommendations. Highly organized, efficient, and perceptive, Jon will be a huge asset in directing your start-up process. Mr. Little has also participated in a prestigious fellowship in the Office of the Curator at the Supreme Court of the United States as well as worked for the U.S. Agency for International Development in the Litigation and Enforcement Division. He received his law degree from American University in Washington, D.C. after completing a Bachelor of Arts in history at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. Before beginning his law career, Mr. Little also attended the Nizhni-Novgorod State University in Russia and served as a full-time English teacher for a public school in Moscow, Russia.



Stacey Stone
Director of Bank Formation

Ms. Stone is a dedicated professional who brings great energy and organizational business skills to Denovo Formations. She is an attorney with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science / Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles and a law degree from Loyola Law School. Ms. Stone was an actively involved participant in the Hobbs Trial Advocacy Program and later worked for the Los Angeles District Attorney. Ms. Stone’s expertise and greatest skills are in analyzing and validating assumptions used in financial modeling. She has extensive practical job experience in financial operations including controller and other positions requiring financial oversight and accountability. Ms. Stone is experienced in business planning, budgeting, generating pro forma statements, and financial test models for start up organizations. She also has experience working for private law firms and a background in the areas of tax law, future property interests, secured transactions, and negotiations. With many years of having been highly involved with philanthropic organizations where she received several awards, the profession of law was a natural progression as a way of helping people.



Jill Matthews



Director of Bank Formation





As a Director of Bank Formation, Ms. Matthews is well placed to bring her business acumen to Denovo Formations. Having practical experience as a business owner and licensed real estate broker, she understands the need for efficient and effective industry practices. Ms. Matthews' strengths include strong organizational skills, creative problem solving, and adept project management. Her personal relation skills are genuine and prove valuable in guiding her clients through the new bank formation process. She graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Business Administration and obtained an MBA from California State University Stanislaus.


Larry Davidson



Corporate Counsel

Mr. Davidson brings 33 years’ experience as a practicing attorney licensed in California including eight years as General Counsel and Executive Vice President for Edwards Theatres Circuit, Inc., the largest motion picture theatre chain operating in California with annual revenue in excess of $230 million.   His work encompassed a broad range of issues including negotiation and preparation of all commercial leases, organizing and executing the company’s representation for a $250 million syndicated line of credit. Mr. Davidson earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Southern California Marshall School Of Business, and his Jurist Doctor from the University Of Southern California Gould School Of Law.  He is a member of the American Inns of Court Foundation and a past member of its Executive Committee. Mr. Davidson has extensive experience with trusts, real estate and business entities. He is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of California, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States District Courts of the Central and Southern Districts of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.



Lucas Lu
Senior Bank & Market Analyst

Mr. Lu brings a wealth of knowledge and analytical skill to the team at Denovo Formations. As the primary banking and market information resource for Denovo Formations Mr. Lu ensures that all information is accurate and up-to-date. He has been designing and creating various new bank presentations and new bank charter application materials for the past four years. His research and analysis serve as the foundation for all of Denovo Formations' bank regulatory applications. With well-rounded specialties in bank stock & financial analysis, market feasibility, regulatory and legal liaison relationships, strategic planning, technology selection, policy and procedure analysis, various PC & MAC software implementations and network maintenance, Mr. Lu has a keen insight for new bank activity and the specific needs of community banks. Mr. Lu is a graduate of San Diego State University where he received a BS in Computer Science.


Larry Meyers

Capital Markets Coordinator

Mr. Meyers' background consists of over 30 years of experience as a successful entrepreneur in fields of business throughout the retail industry.  His entrepreneurial background provides Mr. Meyers with an extensive marketing and advertising skill-set encompassing all forms of media and a work ethic that continues to add to his successful track record as Capital Markets Coordinator at Denovo Formations. Mr. Meyers is highly trained in using Denovo Formations' proprietary capital raising software and coordinating all aspects of the daily operations involved with raising capital for community banks. In 2007 alone, Mr. Meyers assisted with raising over $60 million in start-up bank capital for financial institutions across the country.
